I
am not a wildlife safari adroit but during my Indian wildlife tour, I
experienced the charm of diverse safaris of India. The absolute way to hunt
off cowed traces of the natural wonders is by taking up different safari,
whether on mountains, deserts or dense woods. India is ecstatic with some of
the most variegated and audacious wild regions.
I thoroughly enjoyed my camel safari in the state of Rajasthan, I felt
there could be no better option of encountering the life of desert than,
through a cruiser into its boonies on camel back. It was a great charisma in
itself to sojourn the inaccessible villages embellished in the desert area
of Rajasthan and encountering with the native population. Viewing a sun set
on camel's back was another awe-inspiring experience. Another safari I would
like to mention here was horse safari at Nawalgarh, famous for some of the
finest frescos located in the Shekhawati region. Besides camel, horse safari
is equally getting popularity there.
My next adventure was through jeep safari, the most preferred means to
explore the insides of the dense wooded forests. At Jim Corbett National
Park, I got the opportunity to delve in the jungles through jeep safari as
it could reach the remotest possible areas without much of hassle. There I
sighted herds of great Indian elephants, jungle cats, chittals, a large
aerial and reptile population and much more. Besides these attractions, the
central stage goes to Lion safari - a safari, primarily undertaken for
viewing a lion in its natural habitat, while you are in a jeep or on
elephant's back.
At Kaziranga and Kana National Park, it was the elephant safari that
enthralled me up to the brim. It was really a pleasure to take a royal ride
on the back of an elephant feeling like a king or a queen for sometime.
Elephant Safari is quite galvanizing, if you have patience and want to
explore the wilds leisurely. Sighting a great Indian rhino through elephant
safari was awesome, I also enjoyed taking lot of snaps of this magnificent
creature standing still, as if ready to pose. My mahout told me, "animals
in the wilds feel quite comfortable with elephant safari and it is
absolutely a safe venture to explore the park on an elephant's back"!
Here, I would like to mention some of the other wilds that I missed due to
lack of time - Gir National Park, the site for lion and tiger safari.
Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary in Kerala - for lion Safari. Bandhavgarh
National Park for elephant safari. Baharatpur, and Sariska National Park are
sites for camel safari. Definitely, in my next visit I will cover them all
in my itinerary.
