Huts
The only accommodation option inside the park are tents, which you will
have to carry and the patrolling huts, which have been actually built for
the patrolling staff and can accommodate the tourists and visitors to the
park. The huts have not been provided with many facilities and can
accommodate six to eight people each. It is advisable to carry your own
bedding and food as these huts are just four walls and a roof. Staying in
these huts is free of cost but it is better to carry tents as availability
of these huts can not be guaranteed, especially during the tourist season.
Other accommodation options outside the park include the Range office
complex at Sai Ropa which is located 5 km before Gushaini and has a forest
rest house. There are 3 rooms and 3 dormitories with 15 beds each. The
tariff range from Rs. 300/room and Rs. 50 for a dorm bed. Food can be
arranged if the authorities are informed in advance. Accommodation is also
available at the Inspection hut near Gushaini and Raju's guest house which
is best suited for those looking to go on the Tirthan valley trek.
