Visitors Comments
CommentBullte "I had heard a lot about Corbett and its fearless animals. Having been to Africa and other wildlife hubs across the globe, I can vouch that India can be an exciting option..and a cheaper one at that."

- Widlife photographer Karen from Los Angeles,
visited Corbett in 2003

Homestays
For Tour Enquiry - Contact us

Homestays are your best option when on a tour to the Hemis National Park. Developed by the Snow Leopard Conservancy in association with UNESCO, homestays have become a popular staying option since their advent at Rumbak in 2002. The main aim of the homestays are to promote a sense of wildlife preservation among the villagers by providing them a source of income. Although, the villagers here do not kill the animals, yet when snow leopards venture into restricted territory, they have to bear the brunt of the villagers, who often kill the poor creature. A night at a local home will cost you around Rs. 350 to 600 for a couple (including breakfast and dinner). The visitors are issued a voucher which they have to present to the local homestay operator except in Rumbak where payment is directly made to the owner. Other than homestays, the only accommodation option are the tents which you will have to carry.
