Nawana
Forest Rest House and Dormitory
The rest house located in the Nawana valley is an ideal setting for that
perfect getaway. Situated in lush surroundings, the resort provides its
visitors easy access to the simlipal tiger reserve and national park.
Accommodation at the resort is provided in the form of luxury suites (Rs.
300 for Indians, Rs. 600 for foreigners). A dormitory has two rooms with 6
beds each, for which Indians pay Rs. 200, while the foreigners have to pay
Rs. 400.
Aranyanivas
The state tourism department run Aranyanivas is situated at Lulung in close
proximity to both the entry point of the reserve and the Palpala river.
Accommodation at the resort is provided in the form of eight double rooms
and two dormitories. The charges range from Rs. 650 for deluxe suites to Rs.
125 for a dorm bed.
Other stay option at the park include the Youth hostel at Jashipur, which
provides facilities like laundry, taxi, room service and hot water. The
Barehipani Fall View log house is located opposite the Barehipani waterfall
while the Ramtirtha is located just outside the reserve, about 4 km from
Jashipur.
